How Can We Help?

Helping Hands Behaviour Consulting provides support with addressing two main categories of behaviours:

  1. Challenging or Disruptive Behaviours which should be reduced and/or eliminated

  2. Pro-social, Adaptive Behaviours which should be increased in the child's behavioural repertoire

Within these two larger categories, Helping Hands Behaviour Consulting has developed successful interventions for the following types of behavioural concerns:

  • Self-injury (i.e. head banging, biting self)

  • Aggression toward others (i.e. hitting, kicking, biting, pinching, pulling hair)

  • Temper Tantrums (i.e. yelling, crying, falling to floor, kicking)

  • Disruptive Behaviour (i.e. repetitive questioning, spitting, talking out)

  • Communication (i.e. receptive and expressive language)

  • Social Skills (i.e. conversation skills; turn-taking; waiting; making eye contact)

  • Independent Living skills (i.e. bathing, dressing, eating, teeth brushing; toilet training)

  • Adjusting to Changes (i.e. transitions; daily routines)

  • Non-Compliance (i.e. refusing to comply with verbal directives)
